As Abuyog Community College turns 43 this year, another history unfolds and an opportunity to welcome a new era of leadership and a bright path awaits in the four corners of ACC as it formally installed its new College President, in the person of Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana, CESE, during the investiture ceremony on October 27, at Abuyog mini-gym.

Regional Director of Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 8 Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, DPM, CESO III administers the wearing of Investiture Regalia to the new college president of Abuyog Community College, Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana assisted by his wife, Marjorie Montallana, and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Lemuel Gin K. Traya.

Dr. Montallana, a native of Oras, Eastern Samar who is a prolific educator and self-proclaimed servant leader, made a mark in the history of ACC as the 1st officially invested College President following the strict selection guidelines of the Commission on Higher Education and after besting other 3 candidates for the job.

Former college president, Mrs. Asuncion M. Villote imposed and conferred the presidential medallion to Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana as the new college president of the institution.

The presidential medallion symbolizes the president’s authority, responsibilities, and commitment to the community.

The spectacular night also featured the cultural pride and world-class’Buyugan Festival Dance’, raising the excitement a notch higher was the array of ACC home-grown talents, and the lively and invigorating music played by invited local band ‘C U 2nyt’.
