The Gender and Development Office of Abuyog Community College conducted a seminar on R.A 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act) and R.A 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) at Abuyog Academy, Inc. for their student leaders on September 13, 2023, 8:00 AM – 12:00 NOON at Judge Eliseo N. Lopez function Hall Abuyog Academy, Inc. Abuyog, Leyte.

This seminar aims to provide comprehensive knowledge on current laws and regulations related to sexual harassment and the importance of fostering safe and inclusive spaces within educational institutions. We acknowledge the importance of raising awareness and promoting education on crucial topics such as sexual harassment and the significance of safe spaces. It is vital that students, particularly those in their formative years, understand their rights and responsibilities in creating a harmonious and inclusive environment.

Hence, we believe that by empowering our students with the necessary information and tools, we can collectively contribute to a safer and more inclusive society.
