MISS ROTC Philippines 2023: From CAMO to the CROWN

“I am proudly promoting ROTC to be in the character of every Filipino to create excellence and selflessness and effort for our country, as a result, we can have a better future.” May Ann Cerna, from the dancing flowers and bees, Abuyog Community College.
Even though the stars were not in her favor, Ms. May Ann Cerna, a Philippine Airforce-Visayas and ACC representative, gracefully walked the stage on the coronation night of the first-ever Miss ROTC Philippines 2023, held on Saturday, October 21 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. Her commitment and perseverance are truly commendable.
Manwhile, claiming her victory as the first Miss ROTC Philippines 2023 was Ms. Angel Brahms Bernaldez of the Bicol University Reserve Officers Training Corps.
The cadet athlete competed against 23 candidates coming from the different regions (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao Leg) who were hailed as Gold and Silver Medalist representing the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy and Philippine Airforce.
Additionally, Miss ROTC Philippines coronation was the kick off activity of the Philppine ROTC Games – National Championship scheduled on October 23 until October 28. The pageant also aims to highlight the softer side of the games and promote women empowerment.
Present in the grand coronation night was Senator Francis ‘TOL’ N. Tolentino, the honorary chairman of the Philippine ROTC Games.
In his speech, Senator Francis Tolentino commended the ROTC cadets for their outstanding display of patriotism, support, and appreciation for the activity and the ROTC program.
Moreover, Cerna was accompanied by ACC Sports and Athletics Coordinator, Ms. Fhaila Donn Soniedo.
Congratulations to Ms. May Ann Cerna for representing the Philippine Airforce-Visayas and Abuyog Community College so admirably. Your participation in this pageant and your efforts were appreciated.
Keep your head high since your dedication and endurance are admirable traits. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you, and we have no doubt that you’ll keep getting better at all you do. We are all inspired by your enthusiasm and tenacity.
