A Trip Down Memory Lane: ACC Alumni Homecoming returns for 44th Year Anniv

October 28, 2023- In the spirit of reconnecting with the past and celebrating shared memories, Abuyog Community College Alumni Association recently hosted a heartwarming Alumni Homecoming event that brought together former students from various generations.
This nostalgic gathering was not just a reunion but a celebration of excellence of the local college for its 44 year anniversary ; it also was a testament to the enduring bonds that were formed within the four walls of the humble local college.
The festivities began with a lively motorcade of alumni around the town proper, each class proudly displaying their respective banners and signs. Right after the motorcade, a solemn thanksgiving mass presided by Rev. Fr. Gil Logramonte.
The holy mass was a colorful spectacle that resonated with the diversity of experiences and backgrounds that Abuyog Community College has nurtured over the years.
One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of certificate of recognition to the distinguished alumni in their respective fields.
In his speech, ACC alum, Mr. Allan Maico shared his journeys and insights since leaving campus. It was a powerful reminder of the impact an college ACC education can have on one’s life and the broader community.
Moreover, renowned keynote speaker former ACC president and Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Assistant SecretaryMaam Luz Yringco captivated the attendees with her inspiring talk, centering her talk on the theme, “ACCian: Pagrayhak, Paglipay, Paghinumdom sa Naglabay”.
Asec. Yringco also urged alumni to embrace challenges and make a positive impact in their respective communities. The event was filled with nostalgia and motivation as attendees reflected on their alma mater’s influence on their lives.
In addition, Alumni Homecoming also featured various activities, including a indoor raffle draw and parlor games. The camaraderie on the venue was palpable, as former ACCians relived their glory days and created new memories.
To ensure the continuity of the hosting future successful Alumni Homecoming, an election for new set of officers took place, presided by outgoing President, Mr. Niño Cotejar. At the end of the night, newly-elected ACC Alumni Association were as follows;

Rekindling their shared memories in the local college, a dinner was set where alumni enjoyed fine dining and danced to the tunes of both past and current hits. It was a poignant conclusion to a weekend of reminiscence and renewal.
The Abuyog Community College Alumni Homecoming was more than just a gathering; it was a testament to the enduring spirit of the institution and the lifelong connections it fosters. As alumni departed once again to their respective corners of the world, the echoes of laughter, stories, and shared experiences lingered, serving as a reminder that, no matter how far life takes them, they will always have a home at Abuyog Community College.
