THC receives award at 1st Gawad Lampara

The Honeycomb (THC), the official campus media of Abuyog Community College received Innovation and Creativity Award at recently concluded 1st Gawad Lampara Awards Night held at Nalibunan mini-gymnasium on October 28, 2023.

The said recognition was awarded for THC’s exceptional contributions and remarkable dedication to fostering innovation and creativity in the campus paper. The said citation also given to the visionary approach to journalism and the unrelenting pursuit of excellence that have transformed The Honeycomb into a beacon of inspiration for the entire school community.

The 1st Gawad Lampara Awards Night was part of the celebration of the institution’s 44th Founding Anniversary themed, ” Kagitingan, Katapatan at Kagalingan sa Paglilingkod TANGLAW ng pag-asa para sa kabataan at bayan”.

Personally giving the award were College President, Dr. Clemelle L Montallana, Executive Vice-president, Dr. Asuncion M. Villote and VP for Administration and Finance eceiving the award was THC coordinator, Mr. Alvin Advincula and THC editor-in-chief, Mr. Steven Mark Parado along with other recipients of the award namely; Mr. Gerry Gohil Jr., Ms. Marialyn Salamanca and Mr. Mark Simborio from the Management Information Services (MIS) Office.

As we (THC) celebrate this victory, we would like to thank the THC Family, especially to our Executive Chairman, Hon. Lemuel Gin K. Traya, to College President, Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana, to the entire administrative and academic council and studentry for the incredible support which drives us to continue pushing the boundaries of our craft.

This award is a shared commitment for the entire THC to continue spreading relevant campus and community stories, to be crusaders of truth and catalysts for the better change!
