Academic Excellence Continues: Contract Signing Marks New Chapter for OJT Memorial STUFAP

In a momentous event, scholars and academic leaders gathered for the general orientation and official contract signing ceremony of Octavio J. Traya, Jr. Memorial Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program (OJT Memorial STUFAP) solidifying a commitment to foster educational excellence in Abuyog Community College.

The signing ceremony, held on Thursday, December 21 at the Business Incubation Facility, marked the beginning of a promising journey for the selected scholars, who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their studies.

Hon. Lemuel Gin K. Traya, Executive Chair, ACC Board , Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana, College President, Dr. Asuncion M. Villote, Executive Vice-president, Sheila V. Posas, Vice-president for Administration and Finance, Alwin John Matanda, ACC Scholarship and Financial Assistance coordinator and the scholars themselves came together to sign agreements outlining the terms and conditions of the scholarship program.

Formally welcoming the attendees was College President, Dr Clemelle Montallana who emphasized that this significant step not only formalized the support provided to the scholars but also symbolizes a shared commitment to nurturing talent and investing in the future of education.

Moreover, Dr. Asuncion M. Villote highlighted that the scholarship program aims not only to provide financial assistance but also to create a supportive environment that encourages academic achievement, personal growth, and community engagement.

Furthermore, Hon. Lemuel Gin K. Traya described the event with an air of excitement and optimism as it marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to cultivate a generation of empowered and knowledgeable individuals.

In addition, Sheila V. Posas, Vice-president for Administration and Finance, oriented the scholars on the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) and the contract of agreement.

As the event come to its close, selected scholars expressed gratitude for the opportunity and vowed to make the most of their educational endeavors. Attendees witnessed the signing of contracts with a sense of pride, recognizing the impact that such initiatives can have on the lives of students and the broader community.
