Newly elected to the National Board of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (ALCU), a national representation for Abuyog Community College and a recognition of his credibility as a visionary leader of a local college.
The election was held during the 2024 ALCU National Conference on Thursday March 20, 2024, at The Heritage Hotel in Manila.
The conference, themed “Creative Pathways for Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) 2024 and Beyond,” aimed to empower local educational institutions to innovate and adapt to the changing landscape of tertiary education.
Furthermore, the conference also emphasized the crucial role of local colleges and universities in providing high-quality education to deserving students, especially those from the underserved communities.
The ceremonial oath taking of the newly elected officers of ALCU will take place at MalacaΓ±an Palace with President Bongbong Marcos administering the oath of office on April 3.
