The Honeycomb, official campus media of Abuyog Community College is deeply honored and humbled to be awarded as โCampus Press of the Yearโ Special Awards which covers the Publications of Local Universities and Colleges, as well as those from the Component or Satellite Campuses of State Universities and Colleges. This accolade is not just a testament to the hard work and dedication of THC team, but it also reaffirms the power and importance of journalism not only in the campus level but also to the society at large.
The grand return of the 2024 Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference- Eastern Visayas, with the theme, โThe Student Press in an AI Worldโ hosted at the Visayas State University Baybay City, Leyte from April 3-6, left a renewed sense of purpose and determination to strengthen the standards of integrity, leadership, and empowerment.
We at The Honeycomb also want to thank the ACC administrative and academic council, faculty and ACCians for without your trust and engagement, our work would be in vain. Your feedback, whether praise or critique, drives us to continuously improve and strive for excellence.
However, as we celebrate this victory, let us not forget the challenges that lie ahead. The landscape of journalism is evolving rapidly, presenting us with both opportunities and obstacles. We must adapt to new technologies, navigate shifting political climates, and confront the dangers of misinformation and censorship.
