COHME hosts ACCASS seminar-workshop by Rodelyn Petere

In an effort to cultivate the next generation of knowledgeable school-based tour guides, the College of Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship (COHME) recently organized a comprehensive Abuyog Community College Association of Student Services (ACCASS) Seminar Workshop held at Business Incubation Facility on Monday, April 8, 2024.

The event attracted aspiring tour guides from Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BSHM) of the local college.

Said event is one of department project for this academic year 2023-2024, which was aimed to equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field of tourism and hospitality management.

Throughout the day-long event, attendees engaged in interactive sessions led by the Manager of Leyte Normal University (LNU) Guest House and Tours and Special Events, and Associate Professor V, Dr. Nilda V. Jamora.

Dr. Jamora tackled topic which includes Introduction to the ACCASS, Personality Development, and Protocols with Practicum.

In full support to the initiative were COHME faculty and staff led by their dean, Dr. Nestor Sedanza.

The seminar-workshop is just the beginning of ACC’s future tour guides as they journey towards creating a cohort of competent and passionate tour guides who will engage with diverse audiences to enhance the overall visitor experience in the local college.
