In accordance with Proclamation No.728, today, November 4,2024, Abuyog Community College solemnly observe the National Day of Mourning in memory of our fellow Filipinos who perished due to the devastation wrought by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

In solidarity and reverence, the flag was raised at half-mastโ€”a powerful symbol of our collective grief, compassion, and unity as one people.

This gesture is more than a tradition; it is a reflection of our shared sorrow. Each wave of the half-mast flag reminds us of the lives lost, the families affected, and the communities shattered. While natureโ€™s fury is sometimes beyond our control, our response as a nation reveals our humanity, resilience, and unwavering solidarity.

In these moments, we pause not only to honor the deceased but to extend our hearts to the survivors and the communities struggling to rebuild.

May this day of mourning deepen our empathy and renew our resolve to protect each other. To the victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, we offer our sincerest prayers.

You are forever remembered, and you are deeply mourned.
