November 5, 2024- The Abuyog Community College leaders and select faculty members recently embarked on a benchmarking of best practices for their teacher-education program with their recent visit to the Visayas State University (VSU) Tolosa campus.

The visiting delegation, composed of Dr. Domer P. Regis, dean of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education together with Prof. Sheila V. Posas, Vice-president for Administration and Finance and select faculty members, Alvin Advincula, Milzar Bayot and John Paul Adtoon.

The ACC delegation was warmly received by

Dr. Marilou B. Peñeda, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, Arts, and Sciences (CTEAS) and Head of the Department of Teacher Education (DTE) and Ms. Rochelle T. Cervantes, Teaching Internship Coordinator.

This experience provided them with an opportunity to learn from VSU’s best practices in their academic, administrative, and community-oriented programs.

They left with a renewed sense of purpose, equipped with new strategies to enhance the ACC Teacher-Education program and contribute to the academic and professional development of students.

This experience is expected to yield lasting benefits as they work toward implementing these insights within Abuyog Community College.
