The Seminar-Workshop on the Simplified Bookkeeping and Accounting was held on November 18, 2024, at ACC Business Incubation Facility.

The event aimed to enhance the financial literacy and management skills of the Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in Abuyog, Leyte, empowering them to maintain accurate financial records and make sound business decisions.

The workshop was facilitated by the joint efforts of the Local Government Unit of Abuyog through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and the Abuyog Community College through its community and extension services unit.

The Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) is a capacity building program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the identified poor, vulnerable, and marginalized households and communities to improve their socio-economic conditions by providing them with the skills and resources to start or maintain a livelihood.

Said event was attended by the third batch of participants, including SLPA officers, members, and local stakeholders.

The seminar underscored the critical role that proper bookkeeping and accounting play in the success of livelihood programs. This workshop bridged that gap effectively by simplifying complex financial concepts into actionable steps.
