The Pre-deployment Orientation Conference for Pre-Service Teachers and Cooperating Schools held at ACC evacuation gym on January 15, 2024, served as a beacon of guidance and inspiration for aspiring educators stepping into the world of teaching.

Held with great anticipation, the event provided essential insights into the roles and responsibilities awaiting pre-service teachers in their respective cooperating schools.

Esteemed speakers from DepEd Leyte Division namely Dr. Gerry B. Ranes, Division EPS TLE/TVL Coordinator/Pre-service Teaching Coordinator, alongside with Dr. Diosalyn Rocabo and Ms. Glendale Lamiseria who shared their wisdom, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and passion in the teaching profession.

In attendance also during the event were the cooperating schools representatives coming from the elementary and secondary schools in Abuyog and nearby municipalities.

Moreover, the orientation sessions highlighted lesson planning and classroom management strategies, professional ethics and development programs aligned with Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) as well as the value of maintaining open communication with mentors.

The Pre-deployment Orientation Conference was not only a preparatory step but also a celebration of the teaching vocation. With confidence and determination, ACC pre-service teachers now stand at the threshold of turning their dreams of educating into a reality.

As part of the Pre-deployment Orientation Conference for Pre-service Teachers at Abuyog Community College, a remarkable Teaching Demonstration Exhibition was held, featuring select teachers from partnering cooperating schools.This inspiring event highlighted the art of teaching and provided invaluable insights for the pre-service teachers.

Seasoned educators from Abuyog National High School namely Ms. Analyn Pantin for Mathematics, Ms. Emelyn Risos for Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies), Ms. Fatima Escobio for Science, Ms. Diana Jane Cantilang for English and Mr. Elmer De Jose from BV Closa Central School for Elementary Education showcased effective teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, and innovative approaches to student engagement, setting an inspiring benchmark for the pre-service teachers.

Right after the teaching demonstration exhibition of the select educators, process observers who were master teachers shared the results of the observations, highlighting key strengths, areas for improvement, and best practices observed.

For the pre-service teachers, the experience was both enlightening and empowering. Witnessing masterful teaching in action instilled a deeper appreciation for the profession and boosted their confidence as they prepared to embark on their own teaching journeys.

The teaching demonstration exhibition underscored the importance of preparation, adaptability, and passion in teaching. As a token of gratitude for the opportunity to learn from exemplary educators, certificates were awarded during the closing program.
