ACC-SSC Kicks Off Semester with a Post-Valentine’s Bash byJonalyn Eman

February 17, 2025- Abuyog Community College (ACC), through the Supreme Student Council (SSC), marked the start of a new semester with a vibrant Post-Valentine’s and Semester Kickoff Celebration, bringing together students, faculty, and special guests for a day of music, camaraderie, and excitement.

Adding prestige to the event was the presence of Tingog Partylist Representative, Cong. Jude Avorque Acidre, Representative of 5th District of Leyte, Cong. Carl Nicolas Cari, and Abuyog Municipal Mayor, Hon. Lemuel Gin K. Traya who shared inspiring messages highlighting youth empowerment and educational support. Their attendance underscored their commitment to fostering student growth and opportunities.

Another highlight was the Duet Singing Championship, where talented voices representing the four colleges serenaded the audience with heartfelt performances. Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Doble Kara showdown stole the spotlight, wowing the crowd with jaw-dropping vocal transformations and theatrical prowess.

Furthermore, the celebration took an emotional turn with a special tribute to the faculty members, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Tokens of appreciation were handed over, serving as a tangible reminder of the gratitude that the students hold for their mentors.
