ACC Receives UNIFAST Tuition Fee Reimbursement, Strengthens Tuition-Free Education
Abuyog Community College (ACC) takes another significant step in its commitment to accessible education as it received tuition fee reimbursement from the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UNIFAST) on March 18, 2025.

This tuition fee reimbursement amounting to P45,136, 500.00 reinforces ACC’s mission of providing tuition-free college education, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds can pursue higher learning without financial constraints.
ACC’s continued partnership with UNIFAST aligns with the government’s vision of promoting inclusive and equitable education.
The amount downloaded to ACC trust fund covers tuition fees, allowing students to focus on their academic growth and professional aspirations.
Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana, College President, expressed gratitude for the financial support, emphasizing its impact on the institution and its students.
“This tuition fee reimbursement from UNIFAST is a testament to our commitment to accessible education. It allows us to sustain our operations and invest in improving the overall learning experience at ACC.”
For many ACC students, this grant is more than just financial aid—it is a beacon of hope. Shiela Calusayan, a second-year BSEd English student, shared how this initiative has shaped her journey.
“As someone who comes from a low-income family, this program gives me the chance to continue my studies without worrying about tuition. It motivates me to work harder and give back to the community in the future.”
Similarly, Ronel Fortaliza, a BSHM student, highlighted the broader impact of the program.
“Tuition-free education removes a huge barrier for many students like me. It not only lightens the financial load but also inspires us to aim higher, knowing that we are supported in our academic endeavors.”
Beyond tuition-free education, the UNIFAST funding is expected to bring long-term benefits to ACC in key areas such as infrastructure, faculty development, digital learning enhancements, and student support services.
Plans include the construction of more classrooms, upgrading laboratory facilities, and expanding the digital library resources to ensure students receive a holistic educational experience.
