Abuyog Community College (ACC) successfully concluded its two-day Annual Performance Review and Strategic Planning Workshop-cum-Team Building Activity, and Christmas Party on December 22โ€“23 at Baybayon ni Agalon, Albuera Leyte.

The gathering brought together faculty and staff in a unified celebration of accomplishments and forward planning for 2026.

College President Dr. Clemelle Montallana formally opened the event with welcome remarks, setting a reflective and forward-looking tone.

This was followed by an orientation and statement of purpose delivered by Vice-President for Administration and Finance Prof. Shiela Posas, who underscored the importance of aligning institutional goals with sustainable and strategic action.

Accomplishment reports were then presented by college deans and unit directors, providing a comprehensive review of 2025 milestones and challenges. Dr. Domer P. Regis reported for the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE); Dr. Teofilo Montallana for the College of Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship (COHME); Dr. Eduardo Raquel Jr. for the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE); and Ms. Mary Ann Mora, representing Prof. Elizabeth Sebios, for the College of Information Technology Education (CITE).

The presentations sparked constructive dialogue, reflection, and plans for professional and institutional growth.

Looking ahead, Executive Vice-President Dr. Asuncion Villote presented the proposed 2026 annual budget, clarifying budgetary priorities while Prof. Sheila Posas discussed the policy guidelines on request processes, and proposal guidelines and a workshop on crafting the 2026 calendar of activities.

Running parallel to the formal workshops, the ACC Faculty Association (ACCFA) spearheaded a year-end team-building activity that divided participants into three teams for chant competitions and parlor games.

The activities fostered camaraderie, laughter, and strengthened bonds among faculty and staff, momentarily setting aside professional roles for meaningful connection.

The celebration culminated in an evening of gift-giving and raffle draws, highlighting the Christmas spirit and shared appreciation within the ACC community.

As the two-day gathering comes to a close it emphasized a renewed unity, strengthened collaboration, and a collective momentum as the college steps into a purposeful and progressive 2026.
