Before the halls echo with lessons and laughter, the spirit of service speaks first.

Ahead of the formal opening of classes for the second semester, the Abuyog Community College campus came alive with purpose and unity as College of Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship (COHME) faculty, Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers, and ACC Air Force Reserved Officers Training Corps (ACC-AFROTC) cadets led the campus clean-up 2026 on January 10.

COHME faculty took the lead in cleaning, organizing, and preparing classrooms, transforming learning spaces into environments that inspire productivity, discipline, and excellence.

Their hands-on effort reflected a shared commitment to ensuring that students return to a campus that is both welcoming and learning-ready.

In the spirit of “Service Above Self,” the SSC officers stood at the forefront, demonstrating leadership not only through words but through action.

Their presence underscored the role of student leaders as active partners in campus development and stewardship.

Not to be outdone, the AFROTC cadets and officers carried out their civic actions through disciplined and coordinated clean-up efforts, reinforcing values of responsibility, service, and civic duty beyond military training.

As the campus prepares for the Second Semester, students are also reminded to attend the General Student Orientation on Monday, January 12, which will serve as the proper venue for the formal explanation, contextualization, and open discussion of the 1.5 GWA policy, ensuring transparency, clarity, and student participation in academic discourse
