Abuyog Community College (ACC) proudly welcomed the Languages and Literature Unit (LLU) of Leyte Normal University (LNU) on January 28, 2026 (Wednesday) at the ACC Business Incubation Facility for a meaningful academic engagement anchored on collaboration and shared purpose.
This significant gathering marked the formal introduction and discussion of the community extension initiative titled โInclusive and Ethical Literacies for Empowered Communities,โ a project that underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing quality teaching, ethical literacy, and community engagement.
ACC College President Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Leyte Normal University for choosing ACC as a partner institution, recognizing the initiative as a timely and crucial collaboration that strengthens teachers, uplifts learners, and ultimately empowers communities.
The institution warmly welcomed the LNU delegation led by Dr. Arlyn Aguilar, together with Dr. Myrna Macalinao, Dr. Glenda Cadiente, Dr. Gillian V. Villaflor, Dr. Jufran Agustin, and their team. The visit provided an avenue for dialogue, orientation, and shared vision-setting, particularly with the English faculty who are expected to play a vital role in the implementation of the extension project.
Through open discussion and collaborative planning, the engagement laid a strong foundation for a partnership rooted in inclusivity, ethics, and service.
ACC stands grateful and committed, walking alongside Leyte Normal University in advancing meaningful extension work.
