ACC’s stellar presenters: Adtoon, Hermosilla, Parado blaze trail at NMRC 2024

In a visionary leap into the future, Mr. John Paul Adtoon and Apple Mae Hermosilla, distinguished instructors from Abuyog Community College, alongside the sole student presenter, Mr. Steven Mark Parado, unveiled their groundbreaking research papers in the prestigious 2nd National Multidisciplinary Research Conference at Heroben Hometel in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte, from February 8-9, 2024.
The Visionary Research Association (VRA) Inc.’s conference utilized both in-person and virtual participation options, supported by the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), poised to serve as a catalyst for profound academic exploration, fostering societal transformation through impactful research endeavors.
Igniting the event, Dr. Rex Lim, a distinguished keynote speaker, emphasized the crucial role of interdisciplinary approaches in tackling modern challenges during the conference. Participants engaged in dynamic discourse sessions, exploring topics ranging from education and technology to agriculture, social sciences, and humanities.
In a condensed and straightforward presentation, Mr. Adtoon and Ms. Hermosilla fervently highlighted their paper, “”Utok-AI: Navigating Academic Experiences in the Use of AI among College Students” disclosing crucial insights into the dual nature of artificial intelligence—promising yet alarming—within the context of students’ academic experiences.
Furthermore, Mr. Parado showcased a groundbreaking research journey during the conference by presenting a paper about Academic Sprint: Student Challenges in Six-Week Blended Learning Curriculum, adding another significant contribution to academic discourse.
In the midst of 42 on-site presenters uniting scholars, researchers, and experts from across the nation, Mr. Parado stands as the lone student presenter at this remarkable conference.
Consequently, Abuyog Community College played a pivotal role as the exclusive institution in participation, marking a significant milestone in this commendable achievement.
