𝗔𝗖𝗖’𝘀 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: “𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴” by Jennifer Nuevas

The Abuyog Community College (ACC) concluded the year with a heartwarming Year-End Conference cum-Christmas Party, themed “Embracing Growth: A Year of Learning, Leading, and Thriving.”held at ACC campus on December 16, 2024.

The event showcased a vibrant combination of spiritual reflection, community camaraderie, and festive cheer. The day began with a solemn Eucharistic Mass, presided by San Pedro Calungsod Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Eliseo Loreto at ACC Business Incubation Facility (BIF) fostering gratitude and unity among the ACC family as they reflected on the blessings of the year.

This was followed by an opening program, with Dr. Clemelle L. Montallana delivering the welcome message. In his message Dr. Montallana highlighted milestones, achievements, and the college’s unwavering commitment to excellence in education and leadership development.

Adding a festive touch, the much-awaited Christmas Jingle Dance Contest lit up the stage with dazzling performances from the four colleges namely, College of Information Technology Education (CITE), College of Arts Sciences and Education (CASE), College of Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship (COHME) as well as College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE).

Each group brought unique energy and creativity, embodying the spirit of the Christmas season, growth and collaboration that ACC values deeply. Adding spectacle to the event was the special presentation of ACC Huni ng Buyog Chorale as they fill the air with joyful Christmas carols.

The festive celebration continues of the Year-end Conference cum- Christmas Party kicked off with a dazzling festive runway show christmas edition with four categories namely, Santa Claus, Snowman, Elf,and Reindeer which was participated by the representatives coming from the various colleges.

Amid the glitz, ACCians engaged in meaningful reflections on the year’s accomplishments and challenges, sharing narratives that inspired and set the tone for a brighter year ahead. The afternoon concluded with heartfelt camaraderie, embodying the true essence of the Christmas season—unity, gratitude, and joy.

Amidst the heavy rainfall and brief power interruptions, the Year-End Conference cum-Christmas Party on Monday, December 16, proceeded with undeterred enthusiasm and festive cheers of the ACC community.

Held at the ACC gymnasium, the night event showcased the awarding of winners from the Christmas Jingle Dance Contest and the thrilling Runway Fashion Showdown (Christmas edition), where participants dazzled with their creativity and talent.

Meanwhile, at the evacuation gym, faculty and staff also participated in lively parlor games and raffle draw strengthening bonds and bringing laughter to the celebration.

Adding to the excitement was the Christmas Raffle Draw, with ACCians eagerly waiting to see who would take home special prizes such as christmas gift items, 100-peso cash, brandnew electricfans,cellphone,and laptop.

Moreover, the event also featured the awarding of the Stars of the Night, with the fashionable winners exuding elegance and charm wearing the Christmas themed outfits despite the stormy weather outside.

The evening culminated in a lively Disco Party, where everyone hit the dance floor, celebrating the season and closing the year on a high note.

This Year-End Conference cum-Christmas Party was a beautiful reminder that the holidays are best celebrated when shared with a community that feels like family.
