Baybay City, Leyteโ€” The Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services Inc. Region VIII Eastern Visayas (PAPSAS-8), in collaboration with the Visayas State University (VSU) successfully concluded its three-day 2nd Regional Leadership Summit on February 28, 2025, at the VSU RDE Hall.

This yearโ€™s summit gathered 267 student leaders from 27 universities and colleges across the region, honing their roles as catalysts of social transformation through breakthrough thinking, servant leadership, and ethical governance.

With the theme “Empowering Future Leaders: The Second Student Leadership Summit 2025” the event featured keynote speakers, leadership workshops, and engaging discussions designed to strengthen the studentsโ€™ capacity to lead with integrity and innovation.

Representing ACC with pride and purpose, students leaders Glaiza Marie Cabalhin, President, Edmar Maquilan, Vice-president (External), Nicole Manito, Treasurer, Reymart Lamparas, Peace Officer, Lianne Jhoyce Dimpas, Business Manager and Rhea Lascoรฑa, 2nd year-level Representative together with their adviser, Prof. Ella Krista Traya and Office of the Student Affairs (OSA) Director, Prof. Christopher Gallos engaged with like-minded peers from different institutions in shaping a dynamic and inclusive academic community

“This summit rekindled our passion for leadership. It reminded us that true leadership is not about titles but about the impact we create within our institutions and beyond,” Glaiza Marie Cabalhin, SSC president shared.

As the event concluded, student leaders departed with renewed motivation, ready to apply their insights and lead initiatives that will create lasting impacts in their communities.
