Abuyog Community College (ACC) formally recognized 280 pre-service teachers during its 2nd Pinning Ceremony for the Class of 2025, held on Wednesday, December 17, at the ACC Evacuation Centerโmarking a significant milestone in the academic and professional journey of future educators.
The ceremony honored fourth-year students from the Bachelor of Elementary Education (67) and Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English (99), Mathematics (16), Science (34), and Social Studies (64).
Joined by their parents, faculty members, and college administrators, the pre-service teachers took part in a meaningful rite of passage that symbolized their readiness to embrace the responsibilities and values of the teaching profession.
The program formally opened with a Eucharistic Mass, followed by a solemn processional that set a reflective and dignified tone for the event. The participants were formally welcomed by Dr. Domer P. Regis, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE).

Key highlights of the ceremony included the pinning ritual, candle lighting, and the recitation of the Pledge of Excellence, each symbolizing commitment, enlightenment, and serviceโcore values expected of future educators.
Serving as keynote speaker, Prof. Ricamae C. Papong, March 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Top 6 and CASE faculty member, delivered an inspiring message encouraging the honorees to pursue excellence with passion, resilience, and integrity as they prepare to enter the field of education.

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt closing remarks from Vice President for Administration and Finance Prof. Sheila Posas, who reminded the honorees that the pinning signifies not only an achievement but also the beginning of a noble journey dedicated to molding young minds and serving society.

The 2nd Pinning Ceremony stood as a meaningful celebration of dedication, hope, and shared aspirationsโaffirming ACCโs commitment to producing competent, compassionate, and purpose-driven educators as the Class of 2025 moves closer to joining the teaching profession.
