Dr. Michelle Aguilar Ong, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), paid an official visit to Eastern Visayas today, February 26, marking a significant step toward strengthening higher education initiatives across Region 8.

The Commissioner was formally welcomed by Maximo Aljibe, Regional Director of CHED Regional Office VIII (CHEDRO8), alongside Clemelle L. Montallana, College President of Abuyog Community College (ACC). Also present during the visit were presidents of Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) in the region and CHEDRO8 personnel.

The official visit underscores CHED’s ongoing mission to uplift Philippine higher education, ensuring that no region is left behind in the pursuit of academic excellence and transformative development
